Tube Wars
Today when I was cleaning cages, I found Apple and Wasabi playing 'tube wars'. This is a game where 1 hedgehog sticks their head in one end of a tube (I make mine out of fun foam, but you can use a TP tube too) and another hedgehog sticks their head in the other end. Then they flail about and push each other around; it's rather cute. What made this time particularly funny is that Wasabi is twice Apple's size, but she was still holding her own in the game. Apple and Wasabi are together because they are mating. Hopefully Apple will have a nice litter in late October. I'm heading off to a ferret show this weekend. I always go to the shows with Val to keep her company on the long drive to and from PA and to help out with her Ferrets. At the last show, Anna took first in the point class. I don't know how we'll do at this show, but it doesn't really matter. The whole point of going is to show off Avalon, a full blood British dark hob that was born in Val's first litter. He's a very handsome boy, but he's young and might be a bit rowdy for the judges.
Saturday and Sunday's entries will probably be belated, but be sure to check the back logs because I will post date them when we get back.
Now back to cleaning cages and getting things ready for Sean. The poor guy is stuck hedgie sitting while I am away (He always does a great job).
