The Little Man Who Could (But Shoudn't)
We've got a very cute little albino boy here, named Sammy, who is weaning and on hold for a very nice young girl named Abby. Sammy is a small little guy, but man does he have personality! He's the tiniest guy in the weaning bin, so small that I had him in with the girls instead of the boys (boys can get rough when they hit puberty). He's going to grow to be a normal sized hedgehog, but for now he's just growing slow. Did I mention how cute he is? Well, they are always cute when they are small, but Sammy's spunky personality just makes him soooo much cuter. Man, if all the hedgehogs left here at Sammy's size, well, they would just be irresistible! So anyway, I'm finishing up distributing the water bottles, and I hear 'the boy noise'. 'The boy noise' is the noise that boy hedgehogs make when they meet girl hedgehogs (and in the back of my mind, George Strait starts singing...... See lyrics below). Get my drift? So I look in the boy cage..... nope, not coming from there. So I look in the girl cage..... And there's little Sammy getting a little too interested in one of the girls. It could have been a dominance behavior, or the beginnings of Sammy's interest in girls. Either way, he wasn't quite getting it right, as often happens at such a young age. I know of hedgehogs who have 'gotten it right' at 4 weeks of age. It is possible. Sammy is 6 weeks, but he's really tiny. He would have to stand on a ladder!

George Strait 'Check Yes or No'
It started way back in third grade. I used to sit beside emmylou hayes A pink dress, a matching bow, and her pony tail. She kissed me on the school bus, but told me not to tell.
Next day I chased her round the playground Across the monkey bars, to the merry-go-round And emmylou got caught passing me a note Before the teacher took it, I read what she wrote.
Chorus: Do you love me, do you wanna be my friend? And if you do, well then dont be afraid to take me by the hand If you want to. I think this is how love goes, check yes or no.
Now were grown up and shes my wife. Still like two kids with stars in our eyes. Aint much changed, I still chase emmylou. Up and down the hall, around the bed in our room.
Last night I took her out in a white limousine Twenty years later, she still gets to me Cant believe its been that long ago. When we got started with just a little note.
Repeat chorus
