Weaning some hedgehogs

I started weaning the older group of reserved babies last night. So far, everyone looks like they are doing great. Food and water is disappearing, so I'm making the logical assumption that they are eating and drinking. If all goes well, these babies will be ready to go to their new homes by Sat. So, for those of you with reserved babies, if you get an email from me then I am anticipating that your baby will be ready to go. If not, then you've probably reserved one of the younger babies.

Right now I am waiting to hear back from a few people on my waiting list, but after Thursday, 6/21/07, I will have babies that are old enough to be reserved. Don't worry, we are getting to everybody.

Our next round of hedgehog births should be beginning after 6/24/06. We have a bunch of litters that should be starting then and continuing through the end of August. Of course, we have new litters being born all the time, so this isn't unusual. I try to scatter my births as much as possible so that I almost always have young babies available or ready to reserve.
