Now Here's a Job I Don't Want!

Wanted: 1 surverer tally-upped needed to tally up all the reported road kill in the UK. Morbid sense of humor is a must! Motoring: Count roadkill to help animals 03 Jul 07 17:20 http://www.channel4.com/4car/news/news-story.jsp?news_id=16280

"Spotted a dead badger beside the road, a squashed hedgehog or a run-over rabbit? Let the Mammals Trust UK know about it. The Trust is asking drivers to record roadkill sightings in its annual survey so it can calculate population numbers for many species. Its experience shows that this is a reliable way to estimate animal numbers, and chart growth and decline in different areas.

The survey takes place each year between July and September, as this is when many young animals travel to find new territory and mates. Motorists interested in taking part can download a form on which to record their sightings at www.mtuk.org."
